Random chords generator
MacBard is a fun little toy for musicians of all skill levels. It helps writing songs by suggesting random chord changes and how to arrange them. Simply choose a key and click on Create A Song. MacBard will generate a few randomized but appropriate chord sequences. The chords are simply displayed by name, so you get to decide how to play them. MacBard does offer a few casual suggestions on how you might interpret the chords, but you can ignore those at will.
If you just want to play around on your guitar, piano or other instrument, MacBard can give you chord seqences to play with. If you're a song writer and feel at a creative loss, try playing with MacBard a bit and see what comes up.
If you get stuck or feel lost, turn on Show Balloons in the Help menu. Pop-up balloons will give you some assistance when you run the cursor over something.
