Progsounds Releases The Modular Piano For Kontakt

Progsounds has announced the release of The Modular Piano for Kontakt, based on a synthesized acoustic piano. The Modular Piano has an intimate sound, detached from the brightness of modern pianos, which makes it ideal for certain situations when the precision and detail of a grand piano are not the best deal.

This library comes with three main instruments, two bonus instruments and two multis. The first one is The Modular Piano, a special piano as it was synthesized from scratch, note by note, and then imported into Kontakt to get more polyphony and use all the great features of this sampler. The Timbre Dynamics and String Tuning scripts will provide you with more ways to shape the tone of this instrument. Next you’ll find Ragama, an old, noisy, mechanical clavichord-like instrument, with an Asian taste. Try to play it slowly and as piano as you can. The third is Galvanic Corrosion, an epic distorted bowed-like piano. This is ideal for movie scoring, heavy layering and droning. As bonus, you will find two more instruments, a couple of pads, and two multis as examples of combination possibilities of the sounds.

Specification summary:

  • 5 instruments (3 main and 2 bonus).
  • 2 multis.
  • Custom convolution reverb impulses.
  • PDF manual (download).
  • Sample resolution: 44.1KHz / 24bit stereo .wav.
  • 776MB installed – 434MB .rar download.

The Modular Piano is available for download for a price of €29. The full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 3.5 / 4 is required. The free Kontakt Player does not support this library.
