Powered by Kontakt, the new Cinesamples Voxos virtual choir instrument features a full epic choir, boys choir, soloists, and individual choir legato sections.
According to Cinesamples, Voxos contains world-renowned choirs and soloists with over 15 years of experience recording for countless Hollywood films, trailers, video games, and the concert stage. Recorded at the Bastyr Chapel, the choirs were captured with multiple microphone positions in 24-bit, 48 kHz, 5.1 surround. All in all, Voxos presents an enormous amount of authentic choir sounds — more than 35,000 samples at an uncompressed size of 35 GB.
Voxos is comprised of three main sections: Phrase Builder, Legato Sections, and Choir Effects.
The Phrase Builder tool allows you to add word syllables into a choir performance. Voxos contains a 30 syllable selector matrix that makes it easy to assemble multi-syllable phrases onto a grid, where each syllable will advance to the next syllable, based on your keyboard performance. If it’s a sustain, for example, the Phrase Builder can also connect one syllable over many notes.
Likewise, Legato Sections contains true legato performances of sopranos, altos, tenors, basses, boys choir, solo boy, solo soprano, and solo alto. For this section of Voxos, Cinesamples recorded the tens of thousands of intervalic leaps within the ranges of each section. Custom Legato script instantly analyzes the keyboard performance and plays the appropriate interval sample, resulting in an instrument that allows you to play smooth and emotional legato lines. Built into Legato Sections is the Voice Leading Engine (V.L.E.), which lets you play a full keyboard patch of SATB choir with independently moving legato lines.
Lastly, the Choir Effects section includes over 500 choir effects suitable for film, television, and game music. This section offers hundreds of shouts, whispers, grunts, clusters, screams, trailer risers, and more for any media project. View the full specs of each section, below:
