Based on Reactable Live! software, the app is a software synthesizer that allows you to play and process your own sound samples and audio input. Using the live performance instrument, you can load and store your sessions, share them with your friends, and more.
Reactable Mobile brings the concept of modular tangible synthesis to mobile devices, using a combination of modular synthesis, sampling, digital audio effects, and DJing concepts and modern human computer interaction and multi-touch technology. The app features the same audio and graphics engine as the original Reactable and takes advantage of the iPad’s (other other Apple mobile device’s) multi-touch screen. The app offers 44 kHz stereo sound quality, accelerometer and microphone input, 20 virtual objects, the capability to import custom samples and loops, and functions to save and share your sessions.
With the new app, you will get a set of generator objects (loop players, synthesizers, oscillators, and input), a set of effects (wave shapers, delays, modulators, and filters) to modify generated sounds, a set of controller objects (sequencers, LFOs, and accelerometer) to modify other objects parameters, and a set of global objects (tempo, volume, and tonalizer) to modify the settings of the entire table.
