Kilohearts Artist Pick’s July Promo

Kilohearts july promo

Kilohearts have announced a promo where you can get 50% off three of their leading products, picked out by leading artist Rob Gasser. Rob’s favourites include Frequency Shifter, Tape Stop and Trance Gate, three of the best-selling Kilohearts products. This sale will continue until the 15th of July.

Frequency Shifter, Tape Stop and Trance Gate are available on promo at the DontCrack Store

“My favorite Kilohearts plugins are Tape Stop, Frequency Shifter & Trance Gate.

I use Frequency Shifter on my drums alot to shift the body / punch higher or lower without warping the high end too much. It’s very useful for those low hitting Dubstep snares or those light ‘champagne pop’ snares you hear more often in genres like Hybrid Trap. My snare FX chain very often consists of Frequency Shifter, an EQ and a transient shaper of your choice (Kilohearts Transient Shaper is very nice too!)

Kilohearts Tape Stop is one of my favorite tools to spice up some big lead melodies or transitions, I really like that you can control the start/stop curve for a different sounding tape stop effect.

One thing I like to do with Trance Gate is to use it as a makeshift 4×4 pump sidechain effect, thanks to ADSR control it’s very easy to do. Just turn off the first step in a 8-step pattern (1/32 resolution), 0% Decay, 100% Sustain, 0% Release and adjust the Attack until you get the desired effect.”

KHs Frequency Shifter shifts the frequencies of a sound linearly across the spectrum, destroying the original harmonic relationship between frequencies.

Magnetic tape was the hottest way to store recorded audio. Audio Engineers discovered that starting and stopping the tape while playing back would lead to interesting effects. Tape Stop simulates this arcane technology in a simple way, allowing you to get great spindown/speedup sounds quickly with the push of a button.

What if you could easily chop up any part of the sound into a rhythmical pattern? Well now you can! Trance Gate is a gate sequencer which quickly adds a rhythm to a pad or lead, chops up a beat or adds more staccato to an arpeggio.

These plug-ins are all “Snapins”. That means you can use it as a regular VST/AU plugin, or you can use it with the Snapin hosts Snap Heap and Multipass where you can combine effects in amazing ways.
