Tigris & Euphrates – Desert Voice features many of the most commonly used Middle Eastern melodic styles (maqams), and it’s available in all parallel western contemporary root keys, which can be triggered and displayed in the Kontakt user interface. To make scoring and arranging easier, Desert Voice provides patches with Arabian-styled melodies that are harmonically mirrored to western minor scales.
The 4,800 one-shot samples were all performed by Hammam Al Sayid, a professional vocalist schooled in the classical Arabian art music. In addition to all of the 24-bit, 96 kHz WAV samples, Desert Voice includes 33 Kontakt instruments and multis, 5 convolution reverb impulse responses (Red Desert Cave, Sahara Cave, Large Istanbul Dome Mosque, smaller dome mosque, and Turkish empirical hall), and language translations for all sung and spoken texts within the sample library.
