Precisionsound releases Biosphere and Mechosphere

Precisionsound has released Biosphere and Mechosphere, two libraries of soundscapes for film, game, and multimedia sound design and music production.

Biosphere:

Biosphere is a collection of 50 looped soundscapes that evoke environmental and biological processes, supernatural atmospheres, and living organisms. Synthesising original material from field recordings, Foley performances, and human voices, Biosphere is a toolkit for film, game, and multimedia sound design, as well as for producers of ambient music.

Each soundscape is over one minute in length, edited to loop seamlessly without obviously repeating. The loops are production-ready out of the box, but can also be used as source material for mangling and resynthesizing.

Biosphere contains: 50 stereo 48khz 24-bit WAV files (890Mb total) 1 program for all versions of Steinberg HALion 1 program for NI Kontakt 1 and 2 1 program with scripted GUI for NI Kontakt 3 and 4 (not compatible with free Kontakt Player)

The files in Biosphere are intended primarily to be placed directly on the timeline of a DAW or video editor, such as Cubase/Nuendo, Sonar, Vegas, Pro Tools, Logic, etc. The included sampler programs are for auditioning of sounds. Each file has a unique descriptive name, and the programs for Kontakt 3 and 4 display the name of the played file on the GUI when you press a key, so it is easy to find the file you want.

Price: Biosphere costs $29 (+$11 if you want it on DVD) and all formats are included.

Mechosphere:

Mechosphere is a collection of 50 looped soundscapes that evoke electronic and mechanical devices, industrial spaces, and robotic creatures. Synthesising original material from field recordings, Foley performances, and generated noises, Mechosphere is a toolkit for film, game, and multimedia sound design, as well as for producers of electronic music.
