Reason 4 Refill Contains The Entire Fairlight Cmi Library

The library collects new, clean recordings of the original sounds from the Fairlight CMI IIx, one of the world’s first sampling based workstations. Fairlight CMI Legacy contains 644 Megabyte of samples and over 2000 sounds in all, including all samples from the Fairlight CMI’s 8 inch factory discs. To celebrate the Fairlight feel &ndash a classic instrument since its release 30 years ago &ndash all new samples are labeled and arranged in virtual 8 inch disks in a sound bank which totally honours the mythic invention of Kim Ryrie and Peter Vogel, as used and created a legendary instrument by Vince Clarke, Yello, Yazoo, Pet Shop Boys, Scritti Politti, China Crisis, Peter Gabriel, Art Of Noise, Nine Inch Nails and many more.

Everyone interested in these sounds finally has a chance to get them. The library is instantly playable with cleverly programmed NNXT and Combinator patches. The sound quality is mixed from rare 8 bit quality up to full dynamics using re-sampling and new inventions on sample playback made possible with Reason’s NNXT sampler. The library also contains recordings of some other classic instruments like LinnDrum, Sequential Tom, Roland JX-8P and Yamaha DX7.

Sounds stretch from artefacts and noises to ambiences and pads. 491 patches in all; over 1700 waveforms.
