SuperMegaUltraGroovy Capo 2 Guitar-Learning Software Updated To Version 2.0

Version 2.0 of SuperMegaUltraGroovy Capo guitar-learning software (Mac) is now available with new tools for chord detection, tab generation, and more.

Available for Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard, Capo 2.0 offers musicians auditory and visual tools that will help them learn to play their favorite music already in their iTunes library. The previous version of Capo did not include the visual tools now offered in version 2.0.

The super groovy founder of SuperMegaUltraGroovy, Chris Liscio, comments, “This release marks a huge leap forward in self-directed musical study. Not only can you see the notes you’re hearing, but [you can] also [see] how they are being played.”

Although Capo is designed for all musicians, guitar players especially will get a lot of use out of it. Capo software allows you to learn the music in your iTunes collection by simply dragging songs into the software. Want to learn the chord progressions and melodies from the album Siamese Dream? Just drag and drop “Today” or whatever song you want to learn, into Capo 2.0 and then slow down the music to a tempo that’s comfortable for learning a solo or passage; change the pitch to match your tuning or range; insert markers for verses, choruses, and bridges; and add effects like panning, EQ, and vocal reduction.

Capo 2.0 improves its current features lineup by offering a detailed spectrogram for visual learning and adding the ability to detect and enter chord progressions, automatically generate TAB, and export your adjusted music.

If you purchased Capo software before May, 2010, you can upgrade to Capo 2.0 for $19. New users may purchase Capo 2.0 for $49. Lastly, families (or even classes or music study groups) may purchase a five-pack of licenses for $89. Capo is compatible with all Macs running Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard.
